Prince Harry’s girlfriend may be spending Christmas away from her beau. But Meghan Markle got a timely reminder of her new boyfriend when she arrived back in Toronto after a trip to London.
Ms Markle was collected by a cab firm called Royal at her Toronto home. The Suits actress, 35, is back in Toronto to spend Christmas with her family after having a pre-Christmas celebration in London with Prince Harry, 32.
She made sure to wrap up warm to combat the freezing Canadian winter weather, wearing a black beanie hat and a long dark coat.
Prince Harry will be spending Christmas at Sandringham at the Queen’s traditional celebrations, which are for close family members only. While she has decided it is much too early in their relationship for Ms Markle to have secured an invite to Sandringham, the Queen is understood to be very supportive of Prince Harry’s new relationship. She is said to be pleased to see her grandson so happy.
According to a royal source, Her Majesty is “fully supportive” of Prince Harry and Ms Markle’s burgeoning relationship. The source continued: “She’s delighted to see Harry in a loving relationship.”
Perhaps Ms Markle will secure an invite next year. But, for now, the new couple managed to pack in an array of Christmas activities in their week together in London. They went shopping for a Christmas tree together in Battersea, before heading to the theatre.
However, the pair are now spending Christmas with their respective families. Prince Harry dropped her off personally at Heathrow airport on Sunday, along with a security entourage. She was then met by airline staff before boarding her flight back to Canada.
Prince Harry is expected to have Christmas lunch with his father and his grandparents before taking part in a traditional Boxing Day shoot.
