On Monday, Dustin Diamond of “Saved by the Bell” fame was released from jail after staying there for three days. Before appearing ina Wisconsin court, the actor posted a $10k bail on bailable charges that he knifed a man at a bar on Christmas day. At the same time, the actor has been slapped with 2nd degree criminal charges, irresponsible jeopardizing of safety, antisocial conduct and possession of a concealed weapon.
Star lands in jail with one man suffering a stab wound!
In a complaint filed against the actor, the star and his fiancée got into an argument with two men and a woman at a bar located in the Port Washington area on Christmas Day. In his defense, the actor made known to the police that the stabbing was accidental, and he had no intention of hurting anybody. It happened while he was trying to protect his fiancée, Amanda Schutz. While the man was said to be in no serious danger, police officers recovered a switchblade from the scene of the incident. His fiancée, on the other hand,was slapped with disorderly conduct charges and released later.
The actor has ‘completefaith’ in the country’s justice system
In a statement made by the actor’s attorney, Thomas Alberti, the lawyer declared, “Dustin has complete faith in the justice system,”The whole hearing was a peaceful and short affair, with Diamond’s lawyer putting forward a request for reduced bail in addition to a trial by jury for the actor. The thirty-seven year old actor, on the other hand, appeared calm and spoke very little in court. According to his lawyer, the actor spent most of his time in jail reading books. The next hearing of the actor’s case has been scheduled for January 5, 2015.
