They split up in 2015 amid widespread rumours that rockstar Gavin Rossdale had an affair with his children’s nanny. However, Gavin, who is currently one of the judges on Britain’s The Voice, says that he still regrets the break up with fellow musician Gwen Stefani.
Bush frontman Gavin said that his platinum blonde ex wife was incredible, describing their divorce as the “complete opposite” of his wishes. The 51 year old said that he wished he could turn back time and make his behaviour different, but given that was impossible, he had to deal with the reality of the situation.
Gavin and No Doubt star Gwen have three children togather – Kingston James McGregor, aged 10, Zuma Nesta Rock, who is eight, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, who is about to turn three. He said that, apart from dealing with bereavement, divorcing Gwen was the most painful experience he had ever gone through.
Gwen has since moved on and is in a relationship with the US country singer, and her co-star on The Voice US, Blake Shelton. However, Gavin has said he does not yet feel ready to move on after spending two decades with Gwen. He revealed that now his children have seen their mother settled and happy, they are desperate for him to find someone of his own.
Currently, however, Gavin has his mind firmly on work. He has been appointed, for the first season, to be a judge on The Voice UK along with fellow music legends Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Will.i.am. He also said that his eldest daughter Daisy Lowe, whose mother is Pearl Lowe, has provided unconditional support to him through tough times. Gavin had been godfather to Daisy, but was revealed to be her father when Pearl insisted that Daisy take a DNA test to confirm her parentage.
